What is a Lifegroup?
We dream that our church would become a community where all people feel welcome and where real issues can be talked about. People often ask the question - why would I go to church when it is irrelevant and boring. Lifegroups help answer that question. Most people attending our church want to find answers to real-life issues - how to hold a marriage together, how to keep from going under financially and how to raise good kids and learn it in a place where they won’t feel judged. A Lifegroup is simply a small group of people that meet once a week in homes in our community and share some food, have some fun, and discuss their faith journey.
Reasons to join a Lifegroup?
There are many reasons for you to join a Lifegroup, but here are the top four:
- You can connect with others on a similar faith journey in your neighbourhood and experience a greater sense of community.
- You will have people in your life that will pray for you and would be willing to serve and care for you when you need help.
- You will have a place where you can share your thoughts, questions, experiences, and doubts regarding your relationship with God and your faith journey.
- You will find a place where you can serve people in need and make an impact in the lives of others.
Where do I start?
Your journey can begin by joining a group that meets in your area. Most groups are a mix of married people, single people, divorced people, couples with kids, couples without kids, and members ranging in age from 20′s to retired. The first step is always the hardest but the journey is so worth it!
