Why membership?
In a culture where commitment is no longer highly valued, membership is an essential step that moves each of us into a position of committed participation. It presents the challenge to not be a spectator but to publicly affirm that the church can count on us to help fulfill the ministry God has called us to complete.
Additionally, the New Testament places a major emphasis on the need for Christians to be accountable to each other for spiritual growth. You cannot be accountable when you’re not committed to any specific church family.
For those who view ourselves as part of DBBC's community, we challenge one another to make the commitment to our shared mission and vision tangible, by saying, “I’m in. You can count on me!”
